Freelance Photographer in Doncaster
Working as a freelance photographer in Doncaster I have undertaken many interesting commissions. As well as PR shoots I also undertake more general commercial photography. The PR shoots can cover events or launches including store openings. Often a client may require some images to accompany a press release or a blog. One day I may be doing interior photography for a hotel chain the next corporate portraits. It’s the variety of the job that keeps me fresh.

Doncaster - A Long History of Engineering
Doncaster has plenty of ancient history dating back to Roman times. It was the Romans who created the Great North Road which made Doncaster a major staging point. Doncaster’s rise as an industrial powerhouse came during the industrial revolution. Its proximity to the Great North Road and good canal links meant a ready supply of coal and steel. Many great railway engines were manufactured here including Mallard and Flying Scotsman. Both these engines were produced at the Doncaster Works established by the Great Northern Railway. Companies such as Hitachi continue the tradition in Doncaster. I recently was commissioned to photograph some of the new highspeed trains and their staff at the Hitachi facility. The new rolling stock is amazing and as a freelance photograph in Doncaster I love the fact that I get to see what happens in these facilities.
Today Doncaster boast a bevvy of amazing new businesses. Some of the country’s largest distribution centre are based here such as next, Tesco Ikea and Amazon. The worlds oldest horse racing track was originally established in 1614. The Doncaster Cup first ran in 1766 making it the world’s oldest regulated race. Finally, did you know that nearby Yorkshire wildlife park is the only place you can see polar bears in England?
