Photography for Airbnb’s and Holiday Homes in Yorkshire
Airbnb and Holiday Cottage Photography is what draws customers to your business. This is because in choosing the accommodation, we select on the look of the place and the location. The location of a property cannot be changed but presenting the accommodation well needs just needs the right photography. A typical ½ day shoot, that will be ideal for smaller to medium properties, will typically cost £285.00, plus a small amount of travel cost. Being based in Sheffield is handy as I’m central for all regions in the North.
What features should I highlight in the property photography?
I feel it’s important to show as much as possible then let the client choose the images. Many people forget to show things like parking, outside space and views from windows. As someone who is fresh to your property, I will have the same perspective as a new customer. That means I will get an idea of the nice surprises and features that need photographing. As I use a full mobile lighting set-up, I can make even a small bathroom look brighter. Small details and features also help tell the story of a property. People love character in an Airbnb or Holiday Cottage and Yorkshire owners don’t always see the positives tending to focus on the negatives, very much like our own houses that we live in every day.
Do you offer video and why use it?
Video content is in some ways just as important as Airbnb and Holiday Cottage Photography. It allows not only more engagement but SEO loves it. If you have your own website then some video content can help you rank far higher in google. Ideally it would be wonderful to hire some models for the day and shoot a commercial but let’s not get carried away! (although I have shot some properties with people in). All potential customers want to see is a walkthrough of the property, some sense if its character and size. As well as Yorkshire I also cover Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
How do we do book you?
I find the best thing to do is have some idea when the property is empty and then check the weather. There is no point doing exteriors when the weather is rubbish. Then it’s generally just a case of getting access. I can take along some fresh flowers, some bread or anything I feel the property needs to ‘dress’ the images.
