FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When are you available?
As a PR and commercial photography business, the working hours are rarely nine to five. Some weeks we can be booked up in advance and others at only a few day's notice. Ring or email to check availability and we'll get back to you shortly.

What sort of equipment do you use?
Doug Jackson Photography uses the latest Canon digital cameras and lenses. We also have a lightweight wireless flash set-up that is taken to all jobs. If requested, we can provide a battery powered/mains mobile studio facility.

How do we receive our photographs?
We will post you a disc and/or email you the images within a working day or two. If you require the pictures straight away, we can email them direct from location as soon as possible, 3G signal dependent. We always aim to work to the client's requirements.

Do you use more than one photographer?
No. The business is run by Doug Jackson and his wife, Helen. We can bring in a secondary photographer if absolutely necessary, with prices negotiated accordingly. Working as a sole trader I believe we can offer a more cost effective service than an agency. Also as you always know who's going to turn up you can be assured of consistent and good quality work.

Does the client get exclusive copyright?
Our copyright policy is straightforward for most PR jobs. For further details please contact us.

How do we pay you?
We will normally send an invoice with the images that we provide on a CD/DVD. If you require a separate invoice address, please specify on booking. We accept cheques and bank transfers. All prices quoted include VAT.

Why should we choose Doug Jackson Photography?
We have a proven track record of providing quality images to newspapers, magazines and our clients. We offer a professional service and are regularly told by our clients that we are a pleasure to deal with. Creative, and bursting with ideas, we will always strive to meet and surpass the brief for any project.

What should I do if need more information and am unsure about how to approach getting the photography I need?
Call us! We can offer impartial advice on the best way to get your images in the local paper or how to create images for your company brochure that make you stand out from the crowd.
